Solar Eclipse in Virgo Horoscopes

This Eclipse is staring down the barrel of Saturn's pistol: here's how to be prepared.

How committed are you to your healing? That’s the question that the Solar Eclipse in Virgo, happening on September 21st, 2025, is asking you. This is the first of seven in this series. Think back to September 2007, that’s when this was last happening. This eclipse also happens to oppose Saturn and Saturn has just dipped back into Pisces for the last time (you’re like, girl if you don’t get to the fucking point already).

Here’s the point: Virgo and Saturn are both disciplined entities. What you do on a day-to-day basis (Virgo) is what yields you long-term results (Saturn). On top of that, eclipse season is not about creating something new, it’s about accepting what you’ve already created and letting it play out. This eclipse is going to illuminate what you have to cut out of your routines in order to actually achieve what you want. There’s another element to this too, because why would it be as simple as that?

The other element is that Saturn is still hanging out with Neptune in Aries. Neptune is the planet of illusion, haze, and inebriation. Basically, you are going to be deceived by -everything- out here. You have to be very fucking for real about which parts of your daily routine and self-affirming rituals (and if you don’t have that go book a manifestation+ritual reading with me right now) are actually serving your long-term goal. It’s true that a lot of times we are working too hard or towards the wrong things or within systems that are set up to fail but that you HAVE to succumb to it? That’s that Neptune shit.

If Saturn and Neptune were at a work holiday party, Saturn would be trying to drag Neptune out because they’re too fucked up and Neptune would be shouting that it’s fine they are not that drunk and Saturn is such a buzzkill. And where is Virgo during all the commotion? They are walking around trying to clean up and reminding people that they do actually have to come to work tomorrow. They may be praying for the souls of their coworkers under their breath, too.

I want to talk a little bit more about Virgo and its inclination towards piety which can quickly turn into purity politics. Pay attention to the rise of trad-wife traditions, skinny celebrities, and far-right Christian “values.” Virgo things very quickly careen into obsession, it’s what makes them such have such endurance as artists/performers. Faith is not a reason to be fascist, it’s honestly just such loser behavior. This eclipse is highlighting where you may become obsessive and where you can fall victim to indoctrination. The greatest act of resistance you can practice is by authentically expressing yourself and by rejecting the idea that any one thing is more pure than another.

So, with that info in mind, depending on where your Virgo house is in your natal chart, there’s some kind of routine that you need to implement but not become obsessed with. You can make an impression without sacrificing your morals and honestly, the more you trust your intuition (remember Pisces is the opposing energy here) and the more you create, the more fruitful your long-term plan will be. Here’s where it’s happening for you:

Virgo Rising: This is happening in your 1st house of self, identity, and expression. You have to be careful because you are already prone to obsession. There’s something about who you are that you aren’t expressing because you think it might be a too-large departure from how people have come to know you. You are allowed to change. The people that support you will be along for the ride and the people that don’t, will be eclipsed out of your circle organically as you transform. Since you have a Pisces 7th house, it’s worth asking yourself if you’re being honest with your long-term partner about who you are/have become and it’s also likely that you will get support from your partner/best friend/business partner. There are plenty of other people that will criticize you, so take yourself off that roster. By 2027 you could be feeling the most authentic you have ever felt, if you’ll just let go. You are in this life to balance your path with your piety, stop worshiping systems and start worshiping yourself.

Leo Rising: This is happening in your 2nd house of money, possessions, and work ethic. For the next 18 months, you are getting serious about your stacks and that’s great but it’s really important that you don’t start to equate your worth with your bank account. It’s even more important that you don’t equate other people’s worth to their bank accounts. There is no denying how powerful money is and how much of it you deserve, but if you can’t loosen your grip, nothing will get through. You have a Pisces 9th house so this would be a good time to explore other places and cultures and it may also lead you to an idea that helps your long-term financial goal. Cancer Rising: This is happening in your 3rd house of the mind, communication, and siblings. The third house and Virgo share the ruling planet Mercury so this eclipse has the potential to have you reevaluate the way you speak and are spoken to but also means you are naturally more grounded here than in other parts of your chart. It also means you are naturally always trying to find a way to understand the people in your community. This is so admirable but can hurt you if you let people be assholes. Is there a boundary that you need to draw with a sibling or coworker? As a Cancer Rising you have a tendency let your emotions run the show in a lot of ways and this eclipse is asking you to take action from your head, not your heart. You are more grounded than you realize. Think about how many people call you for advice and nurturing! Gemini Rising: This is happening in your 4th house of ancestry, traditions, and the home. You are naturally curious and communicative and this eclipse may be inspiring you to learn more about where you come from. You may also be detaching yourself from traditions and ancestors that don’t align with you anymore. You are allowed to create new traditions. Do you find yourself doing something on a day-to-day basis just because it’s what you learned? The other part of this eclipse season is happening in your tenth house of career and vocation. You are born to be a healer. Your empathy is one of your superpowers and what’s more you have the ability to express it in a way that really helps people see themselves in your story. Consider writing stories about where you are from and what it means to you. You have the most organized sign in the zodiac ruling your house and home so it’s important that you declutter and make your space as pleasing as possible in order to be creative and free. From now until 2027, the word “home” will shift its meaning. Remember that wherever you are, there home is.

Taurus Rising: This is happening in your 5th house of creativity, dating, and children. You may need to loosen the reigns on your little ones and/or nurture the baby that is your creativity. What kind of daily routine do you need to implement to achieve long-term goals? If you’re dating, are you being a little too rigid with your requirements? You have a Pisces eleventh house so there could be someone waiting in your networks or friend groups that you hadn’t thought about being able to help or heal you, let your intuition lead you to them. Y’all were really put on earth to boldly pursue the shit that lights you up. You thrive on routine and it’s likely that you don’t have much trouble sticking to the things you commit to but this eclipse wants you examine where you might be getting a little too obsessive or aggressive. One Virgo element that I haven’t talked about today is the aspect of service. As an Aries rising it’s likely that you sometimes lose the plot and forget that there are other people in the world (no shade). You can get a bad wrap for being a sort of unmoored person in your expression and identity, your intuition and artistry is essential to the healing of the world. With a Virgo 7th house you may benefit from an organized and service-focused partnership so this season could bring fated partnerships. Ideally, you are partnered in business and love with someone that takes on the organization so that you can be your truest, most-free self. As an Aquarius rising, you abhor a daily routine but would greatly benefit from it as, in traditional astrology, Saturn rules your chart. You have to wait longer than most people for financial freedom because you have to find ways that you can be consistent in getting it without falling under the spell of ennui. This eclipse season, from now until 2027, there will be some tough money stories to break down. Be as disciplined as you can be, especially if you are incurring new costs. This isn’t the time to rack up your credit card debt or to be whimsical about your resources. Sagittarius Rising: This Virgo partial solar eclipse is happening in your 10th house of career, public image, and vocation. As a Sagittarius rising, you are likely always itching to travel. You don’t want to be stuck anywhere, ever. The way this manifests sometimes is in you getting easily bored with work. A Virgo 10th house means the more organized you can be and the more current you can set future you up, the more freedom you will have. The other part of this is that you are probably being too self-critical in your career. You will have to get into the habit of accepting your cringe at all levels. If you are stuck in a job that is too detail-oriented, this season may see a natural termination of that. There is light being shed on which people are actually in your corner and which people are praying for your downfall. You, as a Scorpio rising, may find out and want to exact your revenge. You gotta chill. Eclipse seasons are so heated and you are naturally heated. Since the other axis of this eclipse is happening in your Pisces 5th house of creativity, children, and dating, it might be worth it to let loose by being creative or spending time with kiddos. Remember this is the very beginning of an 18 month process, so you have to take GOOD CARE to not accidentally burn a bridge as it is very unlikely that connection will come back. You may also need to seek out a new community that actually fulfills you. A Virgo 11th house is seeking service and and practical approaches to fulfilling community needs. If you’re feeling like your friends aren’t doing enough, they probably won’t be your friends by 2027 but don’t worry, in the wings you have waiting a more aligned network. Libra Rising: Finally, Libras. This is happening in your 12th house of spirituality and transformation. For the next 18 months, you need to lock in. Think shadow work and hard truths. You are probably experiencing a kind of illumination that you have not yet experienced as this last happened in 2007. Don’t allow yourself to become disillusioned. I know it is hard when your purpose in this life is to seek justice and beauty. There is beauty in the most disgusting things. Consider diving into the ideals that you currently abhor, not to change your values, but to better understand others’. I’m not going to lie to you, your life will not look the same in 2027. Try and enjoy the ride.
